Women's Ministry
Here at Glen Burnie Baptist Church we place a high priority on missions. and the Woman's Missionary Union (WMU) is at the heart of it. The purpose of the WMU is to challenge Christian believers and to educate and involve women and girls in Christian Missions.
Throughout its history, WMU has been an auxiliary to the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), which means that it acts as a "helper" to the SBC. The auxiliary status also means that WMU is self-governing and self-supporting.
The WMU supports the following age-appropriate Baptist Church organizations:
- Women on Mission - Women of all ages
- Children in Action - girls and boys grades 1 - 6
- Mission Friends - girls and boys ages 1 - 5
Women on Mission - Meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 10 AM
Children in Action - Meet every Wednesday at 6:30 PM*
Mission Friends - Meet every Wednesday at 6:30 PM*
*Note: There will be no children's activities on Wednesday Evenings in June and July.
