Dr. Greg Kame has served as the Senior Pastor of Glen Burnie Baptist Church since January 2021. He holds a PhD in Systematic Theology from the University of South Africa, an MBA from Eastern University in St. Davids, PA, and seminary degrees from West Africa Theological Seminary and Cameroon Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Kame has also earned continuing education credits on church and state relations at Princeton Theological Seminary, where he was a fellow of the Black Theology and Leadership Institute.

 

His doctoral research included a term at VU University Amsterdam, Netherlands, and extensive field studies at key Reformation sites across Europe, deepening his understanding of the interplay between theology, leadership, and the relationship between church and state. Dr. Kame is an active leader in the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware (BCM/D), serving as a local associational leader and as a member of the BCM/D Christian Life and Public Affairs Committee. Additionally, he serves on the adjunct faculty at Regent University School of Divinity, where he contributes his expertise in Christian theology and church administration.

 

Greg is married to Lena Kame, and both are originally from Cameroon. They met in Belgium while Lena was pursuing her PhD in Biological Sciences at VU University Brussels. Over a decade ago, they emigrated to the United States and now reside in Glen Burnie with their three children: Karis, Jason, and Nathan. Lena currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland, College Park.
